3 Days, 2 Nights Mikumi Safari Itinerary (From Dar es Salaam)

Day 1: Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park – Maasai Cultural Tour Your safari adventure begins early in the morning with pick-up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam at around 7:00 AM by a private luxury safari vehicle. You will start your scenic journey towards Mikumi National Park, passing through the beautiful landscapes of Morogoro and the rural countryside of Tanzania. Along the way you will stop for lunch either in Morogoro town or upon arrival in Mikumi, depending on time and preference. You are expected to arrive in Mikumi around 12:00 PM, where you will check in at your hotel or lodge and enjoy some time to relax after the journey. In the late afternoon at 4:30 PM, you will visit a traditional Maasai village for a cultural tour. During this experience, you will learn about the Maasai way of life, their traditions, customs, traditional houses (bomas), and unique culture. You may also enjoy traditional songs and dances. After the cultural visit, return to the hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park After an early breakfast, depart from the hotel at around 6:30 AM and head into Mikumi National Park for a full day game drive. Mikumi is home to a wide variety of wildlife and offers excellent game viewing opportunities. The park's open plains make it easy to spot animals such as: Lions Elephants Giraffes Zebras Buffalo Wildebeests Impalas Hippos Crocodiles Numerous bird species You will spend the morning exploring different areas of the park, including the famous Mkata Floodplain, which attracts large numbers of animals. In the afternoon you will stop at a scenic location inside the park for a picnic lunch, surrounded by the beauty of the African wilderness. After lunch, continue with an exciting afternoon game drive, exploring more wildlife habitats and capturing unforgettable safari moments. In the evening you will enjoy a beautiful African sunset experience inside the park with a glass of wine, a perfect moment to relax and appreciate the stunning landscapes. After sunset, exit the park and return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Mikumi – Return to Dar es Salaam After breakfast at the hotel, you will begin your journey back to Dar es Salaam at around 7:00 AM. Enjoy the scenic drive back through the countryside and landscapes of Tanzania. You will arrive in Dar es Salaam in the afternoon, where you will be dropped off at your hotel, the airport, or any preferred location in the city. This marks the end of your memorable Mikumi safari adventure.
